The Matrix source audiophile cable
The Matrix Source cable (introduced to the range March 2022), employs a unique design of working from the inside out. The power cable, employs three 16AWG ‘tinned’ copper OFC conductors sealed in a 12.0 MM “Air-tube’. And isolation is further aided by covering the ‘Air-tube’ with foil shielding. Following the foil, layers of PTFE, anti-static and Fleece material. The Matrix Source cable is extremely light and flexible and very easy to use and cabe be run anywhere. The cable is designed to be used with your source component. And can also be used for DAC, CD players, media players, and Pre-amps.
The source cable

he Matrix Source cable has three separate conductors, each covered in a black PolyCast dielectric. Containing 26-strand, 0.25mm OFC ‘tinned’ conductors. The Matrix Source cables, constructed in 1.0, 1.5, 2 and 3-meter length. Also, the Matrix Source cable, fitted with anti-vibration plug bodies, has Rhodium-plated pins for a perfect electrical contact. The Plugs available are US, EU and UK. The plugs comply with EU/US standards.
Also, for ease of use the EU cable is marked, making things easier. The positive side of the plug reveals a red spot, aiding to quick and correct component connection. As this is very important for maximum performance. And you would be surprised just how much this simple test can improve performance! Please ensure that all your Power cables are connected in the same manner. The “live” side goes to the positive connection of your power outlet.
One of the best-known insulators in the world is Air. And I have been able to increase the amount of Air within the cable by using a 12.0 MM Air-tube. The Air-tube is sealed after the conductors added, and the results are easily heard. Also, as well as huge performance increase, the cable weight is reduced to 480 grams. And as a result, the cable is flexible and easy to pass through places having limited access. Also, the cable conductors are actually resting in a tube full of Air. Protection
Corrosion was an issue back in the 1950s because the common insulators released sulphur peroxide over time. And would react with the copper conductors to form copper sulphide—degrading the wire’s overall performance. However, if you tinned the copper wire, the sulphur peroxide released from the insulators couldn’t degrade the copper by forming copper sulphide. And so the method of tinning has resulted in a significant performance and power increase.
Cable testing
The Matrix Source cable, tested in High-end audio system at ‘Garso Namai’, located Kauno g 31, Vilnius, Lithuania, and lasted three weeks. The speakers used for testing were supplied by Pylon audio – the Jasper 25 MKII loudspeakers. The amplifiers were supplied by Musical Fidelity – M6S preamplifier and the M6SPRX power amplifier. The M6s PRE is effectively a preamp without limits. Its wide range of inputs, coupled with excellent performance, meaning it can form the heart of almost any system, regardless of price. It’s a pure Class A design capable of driving any power amplifier over any length of cable.
Design
The cable is really designed as a ‘SOURCE’ cable and offers better performance when used on the source component. The cable also, handles a much wider frequency range than a regular power cable. And one of the most noticeable difference is much wider sound-stage. Also Higher sensitivity to details such as echos and after echos, reverbs and reverb depths, and allowing all details in the sound spectrum heard. The speed and dynamics are increased, and the music flows in a much better way. After listening to this power cable when removed the normal system sounds flat, lifeless and the music just went back into the wall!
